Comentário
Antidepressivo tricíclico derivado da loxapina com ações similares à amitriptilina. Inibe a recaptação de dopamina. Administração oral duas a três vezes ao dia. Excreta-se em leite materno em quantidade clinicamente não significativa (Gelenberg 1979). Pode produzir hiperprolactinemia e galactorreia (Egberts 1997, Koizumi 1986, Robertson 1982, Cooper 1981, Gelenberg 1979, Jaffe 1978). Por haver menor experiência publicada que com outros fármacos antidepressivos (Rubin 2004), são preferíveis alternativas conhecidas como mais seguras (Sriraman 2015, Davanzo 2011, ABM 2008), especialmente durante o período neonatal e em caso de prematuridade. As mulheres enfermas de depressão durante a gravidez necessitam mais apoio à amamentação por terem mais risco de problemas e interrupção precoce da amamentação (Grzeskowiak 2018, Leggett 2017, Venkatesh 2017, Gorman 2012).
