Comentário
Anti-inflamatório não esteroidal (AINE), inibidor seletivo da enzima ciclooxigenase-2 (COX-2). Indicado no tratamento da artrose, da artrite reumatoide e da espondilite anquilosante. Administração oral diária em uma ou duas doses. Seus dados farmacocinéticos (amplo volume de distribuição e elevada porcentagem de ligação a proteínas) explicam a passagem nula ou ínfima para o leite observada, clinicamente não significativa (Ruhlen 2007, Gardiner 2006, Hale 2004, Knoppert 2003). Não foram observados problemas em lactentes cujas mães a tomavam (Hale 2004). Os níveis no plasma desses lactentes foram indetectáveis ou muito baixos (Hale 2004). Uso pediátrico autorizado a partir dos 2 anos. Diversas sociedades médicas e consensos de especialistas consideram seguro o uso desta medicação durante a amamentação (Reece 2017, Noviani 2016, Götestam 2016, Briggs 2015, Matsota 2013, Sachs 2013, Østensen 2007).
