Digoxina é um glucósido cardíaco que se utiliza no tratamento da insuficiência cardíaca leve a moderada e para o controle de arritmias supraventriculares, como a fibrilação atrial. Administração oral e intravenosa. É excretada em leite materno em quantidade clinicamente não significativa. (AEMPS 2013, GSK 2009, Tan 2001, Reinhardt 1982, Finley 1979, Loughnan 1978, Chan 1978, Levy 1977) Não foram observados problemas em bebês cujas mães a tomavam. (Miller 1986, Finley 1979, Loughnan 1978) Os níveis no plasma desses bebês foram indetectáveis ou muito baixos. (Tan 2001, Reinhardt 1982, Finley 1979, Loughnan 1978) Autores especialistas consideram provavelmente compatível o uso desta medicação durante a amamentação (Hale, Kearney 2018).
