Comentário
Anti-inflamatório não esteroidal. Indicado no tratamento de febre, dores, artrite reumatoide e outros processos reumáticos. Administração oral, intravenosa e tópica (cutânea ou vaginal), a cada 6 a 8 horas. Seus dados farmacocinéticos (alta porcentagem de ligação a proteínas, caráter ácido e meia-vida curta) explicam a passagem ínfima ou nula para o leite observada (Rigourd 2014, Walter 1997, Townsend 1984, Albert 1984, Weibert 1982). Não foram observados problemas em lactentes cujas mães o tomavam (Walter 1997, Ito 1993, Weibert 1982). Medicação de uso habitual em Pediatria. Uso autorizado a partir dos 6 meses. A dose que um lactente pode receber através do leite materno é centenas de vezes inferior à dose terapêutica no lactente (Rigourd 2014, Walter 1997). Academia Americana de Pediatria: medicação usualmente compatível com a amamentação (AAP 2001). Lista de medicamentos essenciais da OMS: compatível com a amamentação (WHO/UNICEF, 2002). Autores, consensos de especialistas e associações médicas o consideram compatível com a amamentação (Sammaritano 2020, Parikh 2018, Reece 2017, Bordini 2016, Noviani 2016, Davanzo 2014, Sachs 2013, Worthington 2013, Hutchinson 2013, Rowe 2013, Amir 2011, Chen 2010, Risser 2009, Østensen 2007, Spigset 2000, Janssen 200, Nice 2000, Mitchell 1999, Goldsmith 1989, Needs 1985). Pode ser considerado o analgésico de escolha em mães que amamentam (Worthington 2013, Østensen 2007, Nice 2000).
