Comentário
Anti-histamínico de 2ª geração com mínimo efeito sedativo. É metabolizado em desloratadina. Administração oral uma vez ao dia. É excretada no leite materno em quantidade não significativa (Hilbert 1988) e não foram observados problemas em lactentes de mães que a tomavam (Merlob 2002). Diversas sociedades médicas e consensos de especialistas consideram seguro o uso desta medicação durante a amamentação (Hale, Briggs 2015, Schaefer 2015, Butler 2014, Amir 2011, So 2010, Leachman 2006, National Asthma Ed. 2004, Nice 2004, Solhaug 2004, Mitchell 1999, Ghaeli 1993). A Sociedade Britânica de Alergia e Imunologia Clínica a considera o anti-histamínico de escolha durante a amamentação (Powell 2007). Academia Americana de Pediatria: medicação usualmente compatível com a amamentação (AAP 2001).
