Comentário
É um inibidor da protease do HIV com atividade antiviral contra o HIV-1. Utiliza-se no tratamento da infecção por HIV e AIDS. Administração oral em duas a três doses diárias. É excretada no leite materno em muito pequena quantidade, clinicamente não significativa. (Weidle 2011, Rezk 2008, Colebunders 2005) Quase 5% dos bebês que mamam cujas mães a tomavam tiveram exantema, hiperbilirrubinemia ou hepatotoxicidade. (Minniear 2012) Os níveis em plasma destes bebês que mamam foram muito baixos ou abaixo do limite de detecção.
