Broncodilatador beta-adrenérgico ação curta, características similares Terbutalina. Indicado no tratamento asma. Administração preferencialmente inalada (também oral ou intravenosa). Seu amplo volume distribuição escassa absorção após administração inalada tornam muito improvável passe ao leite quantidades significativas. Sua baixa biodisponibilidade oral dificultaria passe a plasma bebê que mama a partir leite materno ingerido. São preferíveis preparações inaladas broncodilatadores por absorverem < 10% dose. Diversas sociedades médicas consensos especialistas consideram baixo risco o uso broncodilatadores inalados durante amamentação (Hale, Lactmed, Amir 2011, National Asthma 2004, Nelson 2001, Ellsworth 1994). Lista medicamentos essenciais OMS: compatível com amamentação (WHO 2002)
